The original contributions of this article states that samples postcured in an oven were found to have lower electrical as well as mechanical loss tangent values than their counterparts cured in ambient conditions alone. The storage modulus of all samples conventionally postcured was also higher than their counterparts. The conventionally postcured samples were also found to have lower glass transition temperature than their rivals and softer material. For all percentages by weight of glass powder, the glass transition temperature for the oven cured samples was higher and it can be
argued that the composite was stiffer; the opposite was true for the ambient cured sample. (C) 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 119: 2945-2952, 2011″
“The optical and magneto-optical properties https://www.selleckchem.com/products/gsk3326595-epz015938.html of bulk L2(1) ordered Co2CrGa Heusler alloy (HA) have been
experimentally investigated for the first time below and above the Curie temperature (T approximate to 1.2T(C)) and explained in terms of the band structure. It is shown that the optical properties of Co2CrGa in paramagnetic phase look similar to those in the ferromagnetic phase. Crystallization of amorphous Co2CrGa HA films with the formation of B2-type of order causes significant increase in alloy resistivity due to formation of the energy gap at the Fermi level Adavosertib mouse in the minority bands. Unlike bulk L2(1)-type ordered Co2CrGa HA sample B2 structural order of Co2CrGa HA films exhibit negative temperature coefficient of resistivity for 80-750 K temperature range. Atomic disorder causes redshift in the interband absorption peak by about 0.6 eV (and hence corresponding reduction in the energy distance between initial and final energy bands responsible
for this peak formation). (c) 2010 American Institute of Physics. [doi: 10.1063/1.3511433]“
“A novel process for graft polymerization onto a polyethylene (PE) film using atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was examined. First, a PE film irradiated with an electron beam was treated with carbon tetrabromide, thereby introducing tribromomethyl groups. The number of tribromomethyl groups introduced onto the film could be controlled by adjusting the electron beam irradiation RG-7388 research buy dose. Methyl methacrylate (MMA) was then graft-polymerized by ATRP in the initiator-introduced PE film in the presence of a copper catalyst. Based on FTIR spectra from the PMMA grafted films, the behavior of graft polymerization reactions on the film surface and inside the film are discussed. (C) 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. “Objective. This study was performed to determine: 1) the rate and source of microbiologic contamination of photostimulable phosphor plates (PSP) in a predoctoral clinic; and 2) whether a combination of weekly gas sterilization and barrier protocols can prevent contamination of PSP plates.
Methods: Fifty plates in clinical use and 25 gas-sterilized control plates were selected for examination.
