We are reviewing the case of a 20-year diabetic elderly woman, who is now in remission from breast cancer after a modified radical mastectomy and chemotherapy regimen 28 years ago. Pain in the shoulder, along with a gradual accumulation of swelling, was observed in the patient. A diagnosis of pyomyositis was confirmed following the examination, which led to the surgical debridement procedure.
